“This line of art has changed alongside me as I worked on it.  My inspiration often comes from the people and places that surround me, each piece a reflection of such inspiration. 

My first piece was inspired by my brother and my enjoyment of surf photography. This piece came from one of my favorite photographs, taken during a family trip to Costa Rica. It is a piece that I made simply because I felt drawn to the photograph and wanted to explore it in other forms. My second piece was drawn during the early days of college, while I was in a hammock with one of my closest friends. She was playing guitar as we looked out over the mountains, it was the first time I felt at home and at peace at school. The moment inspired this special work that captures the feeling of peace I have only found in the mountains or the ocean. My third piece also reflects a sense of freedom and peace but in a different way. When it was created I was reflecting my happiness to be where I was, at the beach. I wanted to capture the way the white water flows without limitation and how you cut through to be right in the middle of it when you get stuck in the middle of a set. A reminder of the beauty that can be found in the not always enjoyable moments, as well as the feeling of being “Midset”. 

My art is a reflection of my feelings while I work on it. Some of my art is a reflection of my love for art in and of itself and some is a preservation of a feeling that I want to have forever. This line is a combination of feelings, moments, and love of the game that I can’t wait to share! “
